Smart networks

Smart Networks is a new service based on the ADSL technology allowing to considerably simplify the operation of any company, which offices or branches are moved away from each other.

Smart Networks will relieve you of everyday trips to your company's branches, shops and warehouses in order to monitor product flows.

Smart Networks will combine all your branches into a single fast-operating network. All data on the movement of goods from one warehouse to another, on the residues of goods at the shops will be operationally delivered directly to your office. On our part, we guarantee a high rate of data exchange and data transmission security.

The main distinctive features of this service in respect of a normal Internet connection are the lack of limitations for the volume of transmitted data and a high degree of protection of the data transmitted at the transportation level.

In order to provide a service, a Web Plus ADSL-modem should be installed at every connection point, which is to be connected directly to a local area network (i.e. directly to Ethernet network equipment), or to a server (to an Ethernet network card). The connection pattern is of a star type, i.e. all connection points are connected to the Web Plus ADSL network.

One of the following three topologies can be used for the arrangement of communication:

  • "Client-Server" ("star" logical circuit),
  • "Fully intermeshed exchange" (fully connected logical circuit),
  • "Mixed" (the subnetwork routing of some connection points is limited).
You will independently determine a specific topology and a data transmission rate in the channel at each connection point basing on the nature of a traffic being transferred, its distribution, applications being used, etc., or you will be able to employ a system integrator for this purpose. The use of this service will not impose any limitations on the number of workstations (PCs) in the local area networks being combined.

Concurrently with the communication with other points via a single ADSL modem, it is also possible to connect an access to Internet. In doing so, any relative influence of the data being transferred is excluded due to data transmission over separate VPi/Vci.

When combining networks, a TCP/IP network protocol. Other network protocols (for example, IPX) are not supported and routed. In order to use other protocols, it is required to use special methods (for example, tunnelling and encapsulation); at that the use of similar methods leads to an increase of the volume of service information and to a reduction of the informational throughput of channels.
